Mary Dimick

Mary Dimick (November 11, 1904 - January 6, 2005)

Nina Mary Katherine (Belt) Dimick was born in Sellwood, Oregon in 1904 to Walter and Nina McColl Belt. She attended Oregon Agricultural College, studying Landscape Gardening and graduating in 1926.

The same year, she married Roland Dimick, also an OAC graduate, who became a professor of fisheries at Oregon State and helped found the OSU Department of Fish, Game, and Fur Animal Management. Mary and Roland raised three children, Kenneth, Anne, and Donald. Roland passed away in 1980 and Mary in 2005 at the age of 101.
