Dean Beauchamp
Dean Beauchamp (January 2, 1898 - May 27, 1990)
Dean Beauchamp was born to Moses and May Beauchamp in January 1898. He was raised on his family’s farm in Umapine, Oregon. After he graduated from high school, he spent six months in the Army at the end of World War I, and then attended Oregon Agricultural College for two and a half years, studying Animal Husbandry. He then moved back to Umapine and continued the family business of farming and raising cattle for milk and beef. He and his wife, Alice, raised a son, Grant, who became the fourth generation to farm the family land in Umapine. Dean died on May 27, 1990 at the age of 92.
