- Letter from Alice Mary Hilton to Mr. M.S. Arnoni, cc: Mr. Ferry and Mr. Perlo, RE: Thanks Arnoni for sending her a copy of his letter to Mr. Victor Perlo regarding his analysis of the “Triple Revolution.” Criticizes Arnoni’s reaction to Perlo’s analysis and declines to participate in the tape-recorded debate with Arnoni and Perlo. Suggests that Arnoni makes complete copies of the “Triple Revolution” be made available to readers of The Minority of One and that some of the signers of the “Triple Revolution” participate in the debate instead. Tells Arnoni that she was surprised to find herself listed as representing The Minority of One on the program at the Panel Discussion at City College and that she has asked the City College Committee to credit her only with modest affiliations to The Minority of One. - Letter from Chester F. Carlson to LP, RE: Carlson was happy to hear that LP is pleased with LP's new connection at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions. Carlson intends to see that any deficiency in the funds required to keep LP at the center will be taken care of. However, he asks LP not to say anything about this to Dr. Hutchins, so that Hutchins will not relax his fund raising efforts. Carlson also hopes to visit the Center soon. - Letter from LP to Clark Kerr, President, University of California, RE: Two days ago it was announced that the U.S. Supreme Court had refused certiorari in the bomb-test suit called Pauling vs. McNamara. LP feels that Brown should know the facts of this matter in case any reference is made to it at the meeting of the Board of Regents of the University of California when the recommendation for LP's appointment is taken up. LP encloses a paper with more information. LP felt it was worthwhile to attempt to get the courts of the U.S. and the USSR to make decisions about the matter of radioactive contamination of the atmosphere, which LP considers to be an important matter. The U.S. courts have considered the complaint. The Soviet courts refused to take action. [Filed under LP Personal Safe, Drawer #2, Folder #2.006]
