After AHP left, Otteun got in touch with Kähler and he agreed to make another bowl like Otteun's for AHP. Kähler says that it will take about a month to make the bowl. Otteun describes the four gifts that she, Ester Brinck, the Danish Peace Conference, and the Biochemists sent to AHP. They were not allowed to put letters in the packages, so this is why she describes the gifts in a separate letter. Otteun discusses some "gossip" that she has heard about the women in the Ligaen for Tolerance and their decision not to sponsor the Pauling Meeting. They are going to England at the end of the month for Cliff to give some lectures on economics. Bernal visited the Durrs for several days and they again found him to be charming and intelligent. Durr didn't get a Christmas card from Frances Herring, and asks AHP how she is doing. Durr met Ann Gertler, who says that AHP is organizing an Intercontinental Peace Conference of Women to be held in Mexico. Durr got the impression that Gertler really wanted to help with the meeting, so she gives AHP Gertler's address. Durr loved the picture of the Paulings at the ranch.
