  • Letter from Corliss Lamont to AHP, RE: Is afraid he never adequately replied to AHP's letter inquiring about what should be done concerning South Vietnam. Pauline Schindler of Los Angeles wrote Lamont and his wife suggesting that they head up a committee to unify all the different efforts. However, Lamont told her that he felt that no such overall committee was needed, and that efforts coming independently from various directions were all the more effective. Had a splendid demonstration in New York City a week ago. Lamont's wife, Helen, spoke, as did Russ Nixon and two prominent negroes. Encloses Helen's pamphlet, "The Tragedy of Vietnam," which was recently published. Is currently working on an ad for the New York Times about "McNamara's War." P.S. If any group at the Unitarian Church would like copies of the pamphlet, they can give a 50% discount. Mrs. Claire Barlow

    4027 Midvale Avenue

    Oakland 2, California

    Dear Mrs. Barlow

In answer to your letter, I must say that there is in my opinion no justification for doubting the identification of the principle substance in the samples of "Krebiozen" as Creatine.

If you have any first-hand information about Krebiozen (not just the repetition of old arguments), I should be glad to have you tell me about it, in order that I might attempt to evaluate it.

    Sincerely,

    Linus Pauling:cp
