  • Letter from LP to Kathleen Miller, RE: LP sends an his article published in the Bryn Mawr Alumnae Bulletin.  He does not support Mr. Murray’s program, which calls for destroying megaton bombs but not kiloton bombs; LP only believes in abolishing war.  He does, of course, support strengthening the United Nations.   • Letter from LP to Lloyd Smith RE: LP writes to inform Smith about the upcoming Oslo Conference. LP details the conference, who will be attending and how it is to be conducted similarly to the various Pugwash Congresses. LP lists the financial support of the Pugwash Congresses.   • Letter from LP to M. Kent Wilson, RE: LP thanks Wilson for sending him a copy of Volume I of the second edition of Chemistry by the Chemical Bond Committee. LP sees the changes from the first edition, but still finds some flaws. Mostly, LP thinks that the drawings are confusing and could be better.
