- Letter from LP to Dr. Clarence E. Rupe, Secretary, International Symposium on Enzymes, RE: Looking forward to speaking at the International Symposium on Enzymes on November 1. Says the National Academy of Sciences meeting begins on November 2. Since it will be held in Pasadena, it will be necessary for LP to attend the meeting. Wonders if the Symposium might be moved forward a few days so that they do not run into conflicts with others who are attending the NAS meeting. - Letter from LP to Dr. F.T. Stein, Germany, RE: Received the invitation to the Second Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Chemistry at Lindau. Regrets that he has already made plans for the next several months, and so will not be able to travel to Lindau in July 1955.
