Albrecht, RE: Explains that due to the high cost of the rock work, he and AHP have decided not to attempt to put on a copper roof and instead would like to have a bitumen and pebble roof, which he estimates would cost no more than $2000. Tells Gamble that he would like medium-size water worn pebbles, which can be found at the San Simeon Creek Sand and Gravel Company or on their own beach. - Letter from LP to Mrs. Dorothy Gregorich RE: Thanks her for writing to him about the magazine “Fact,” and says that he did not like the copy that he has seen of it. Explains that the editor of the magazine asked him to submit a contribution and that he agreed to at first, but then decided not to because he had too many commitments. Says that months later he saw an advertisement in which he was listed as a contributor to the magazine, after which he wrote to the editor and asked him not to use his name in this way.
