In Mrs. Goode’s second interview, topics such as her desire to pursue art and her time as a college student are discussed at length. Another point of interest include her time as a librarian. She admitted that a formal education was not needed to be a librarian. Those interested in the profession had to pass an examination, which according to Goode was quiet rigorous. She also shares her opinions on what she believes is a woman’s duty.
As the conversation moves to Goode’s days at Oregon Agricultural College, Goode talks about some of the types of classes she took, specifically recalling her Chemistry classes with Professor Daughters. She also comments on what she believed to be the motivations of those who were also pursuing a degree in Home Economics.
