Georgia Crow was a schoolteacher for a short-lived period in Harney County. Once she had married, Mrs. Crow spent her time helping at the family ranch as well as the local community. She loved being outdoors, especially to hunt and fish. Crow’s interview begins with a short history of her family, including the story of how her parents met. She also describes the challenges the family faced during the 1920s and 30s. In the course of this time, Crow’s father attended and worked for Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University). She recalls assisting her father with his chores at OSU. She preferred being outdoors during her childhood and understood the responsibility of farm life.

As an adult, Crow worked in a packing plant before attending Monmouth College in order to become a teacher. She accepted a position in Harney County and taught several grades at once in a small school house. She boarded with the Culvers and would met her future husband as he was their neighbor. The interview finishes with the story of Georgia and John Crow’s wedding.
