    Mrs. Pauline Scott

    20 Martin Lane

    Woodside, California

    Dear Pauline,

We nearly stopped in to say Hello to you when we drove North with the Durrs on the ninth or tenth of October. However, with so much excitement, we were behind schedule and had so many extra things to do that we decided we could not take the time. I was sorry because I had wanted her to see you and to see your lovely garden and your orchids. Perhaps you did see them at some one of the meetings there.

How are you? I do hope that you are wall and enjoying your life. We shall stop sometimes when we come by.

    Affectionate greetings,
    Ava Helen Pauling
