LP, RE: Describes her story of how her husband is a colonel in the army and how their family has continuously moved from place to place, making it very difficult for her to feel perfect, as she thought she should. Recounts how she went to psychiatric sessions three times a week with Dr. Linus Pauling, Jr., while they were stationed in Hawaii, though this did not seem to help much. Finally tells about how she had a breakthrough with Pauling, Jr., when she exclaimed that she just wanted to be loved by Pauling, Jr., and her husband, upon which he told her that they did love her. Includes handwritten note by NBH in upper margin of page: "Dr. Pauling, Dr. Bauman is a professor of American U.
