Dear Dr. Britten and Mrs. Britten:
I am writing to tell you how very much my wife and I enjoyed our trip with you into the interior of Oahu and how grateful we are for your kindness to us.
We reached home safely, and have been very busy during the past two days. We have had Senior Class Day and Commencement Day, and I have been trying to get a good bit of work taken care of before we leave, on Sunday (tomorrow) for Oklahoma. We are going to drive to Oklahoma, in order to attend a workshop on freshman chemistry teaching there in Stillwater.
We both continue to feel that our stay in Hawaii was just about the happiest period that we have ever gone through, and we feel that you are in considerable part responsible.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling:W
