- Letter from R.H. Turnbull to LP, RE: Encloses a copy of his letter to Mr. R. Leslie Collett, the Registrar of the Royal Institute of Chemistry of Great Britain and Ireland. Informs LP that he has spoken with the American consul there and the Editor of the Statesman, who both agree it is necessary to have an international society of scientists to govern the use of atomic energy and abolish war. Tells LP that he just received a letter from Sir Herbert Gepp, informing him that he is now the President of the Royal Australian Institute of Chemistry, and says that he would also agree with the formation of an international society of scientists.
