Dearest Mom
I'm sending you back the letters you sent me; I enjoyed them very much.
I sent off finally those pictures you sent me. I decided that it wasn't worthwhile giving
them to Betty, so I'll send the originals and the new negatives to you.
I'm finishing my third week only two more to go and then something relatively new.
We have a choice of several advanced courses. I can't decide which I would prefer. I can
choose ones in which I would learn something that might be useful after the war, and then there
are ones in which there is a possibility of flying. Being a mechanic, by the way, I don't fly as
part of my job, unless for testing equipment. But overseas anything can happen, and operating
these sets isn't difficult.
Monday I'm going to indulge in Christmas shopping in Palm Beach. I hope I'm
successful.
All my love to you,
Linus
