David and Clara Shoemaker Papers, 1930-2000

4. Undergraduate Instruction and Graduate Supervision. 1952-1982.

Series 4 contains close documentation of David Shoemaker's contributions to a three-course lecture survey on X-ray science, offered in the late 1970s by the Oregon State University chemistry department. David and Clara Shoemaker's supervision and mentorship of graduate students at both OSU and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are likewise represented by the large collection of their students' research notebooks, masters theses and doctoral dissertations arranged within the series.
