Dear Massimo:
I am surely pleased that you should have received the National Prize of the President of the Italian Republic for Physical, Mathematical and Natural Science. Ava Helen joins me in congratulating you.
You will note from my letter that we are now in Stanford University, where I have become Professor of Chemistry.
We are probably going to come to Europe this summer to take part in some conferences, but I doubt that we shall be able to visit Milan.
Cordially,
Linus Pauling
