  • Letter from Mr. Anthony J. Verbiscar RE: First explains that he has given many public statements against the testing of nuclear weapons by China, as well as France, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and the United States. He explains that Mr. Verbiscar's statement that "he might rater be dead that be coerced into accepting a godless, that is atheistic communist life" is meaningless because he is not in any danger of being coerced into accepting such a life. In regard to the column by Richard Pattee, LP thinks that the man would probably have rejected the Declaration of Independence of the United States. He goes on to explain the immorality of the U.S. and that he thinks that the sacrifice of millions can not be justified by the argument that it will avoid greater suffering of future generations, as it is too difficult to predict the future.
