  • Handwritten letter from John Vesecky to LP, RE: Vesecky, a student at Rice University in Houston, has been looking into information regarding the anti-communist movement and the House Committee on Un-American Activities, and has read a lot of material supporting the Committee. He has also heard comments opposing the Committee, but has not met anyone in Houston who holds this view. Vesecky respects LP very much as a chemist, and believes that LP must have a valid reason for opposing the Committee. Vesecky wonders if LP might tell him where he can find LP's views on this matter in published material. [Filed under LP Correspondence: (V: Correspondence, 1933-1969), #427.21]
