Says that he has heard several recommendations for Rice. Handwritten postscript discusses how a student, Peter Sloss, has applied to CIT for entry September 1957 and that his parents blamed Freeman because he sent Peter a copy of General Chemistry two years ago. Says that his parents wanted Freeman to talk Peter out of going to CIT for undergraduate work, but that Freeman agreed with the boy and hopes that he gets his wish because he has real promise.
