  • Itinerary: Mt. Holyoke? [Filed under LP Travel: Box #1.001 Folder 1.10]
  • LP constructs an outline of compound alpha-helices. Includes various calculations. Constructs a 4.5-residue helix with the new 10cm = 1 angstrom models. After recording the coordinates of a 4-residue compound alpha-helix, he writes a note to Dr. Corey indicating that small errors (possibly in original values) are accumulating and should be identified. [Further notes made on October 27, 1952]. [Filed under LP Science: Box 6.002, Folder 2.9]
  • Letter from John G. Kirkwood to LP RE: thanks LP for agreeing to send him a set of his slides on molecular structure. [Letter from LP to Prof. Kirkwood September 26, 1952, following letter from Prof. Kirkwood to LP October 15, 1952] [Filed under LP Correspondence: Box #198, Folder #12 (Kirkwood, John G.)].
  • Letter from LP to Dr. Joseph E. Mayer, Editor of the Journal of Chemical Physics RE: Returns a new letter to the editor by Charles R. Mueller that Mr. Mayer sent LP for review due to its relevance to the resonance between covalent and ionic structures. Discusses the fallacy with Mr. Mayer's letter and advises that the editor not publish the letter, or if so that the magazine include a criticism on it. [previous letter from LP to Mr. Mayer August 6, 1952] [Filed under C: Correspondence 1952, Box #74, Folder #20]
  • Letter from LP to Jerry Donohue, Cavendish Laboratory, RE: Discusses the paper that Donohue criticized regarding cesium hexasulfide, and finds that his thoughts were correct, but the authors caught the mistakes and pulled the paper prior to publication. Mentions trying to help Donohue get a job in Berkeley. Then LP goes on to say that he is going to do further research on the structure of keratin. [In reply to June 25, 1952 letter from Donohue to LP]. [Filed under LP Science: Box 9.001, Folder 1.6].
  • Letter from LP to Mr. Takoaasi Yoshida RE: responds to Mr. Yoshida's letter and theory on the iron-carbon system, by saying that he does not really understand it gives some general suggestions. [Letter from Mr. Yoshida to LP June 28, 1952] [Filed under LP Correspondence: Box #462, Folder #8].
  • Letter from W. D. McElroy to LP RE: invites LP to participate in John Hopkins University's fourth symposium on inorganic ion nutrition and metabolism that will be held in June. LP would act as a moderator and would participate in sessions having to do with protein structure. [Letter of response from LP to Dr. McElroy October 22, 1952] [Filed under M: Correspondence 1952, Box #256, Folder #3]
  • Memo from R. Marsh to LP RE: responds to LP's note by commenting on Dr. Yoshida's theory relating to metallurgy. [related letter from Mr. Takaaki Yoshida to LP June 28, 1952, related letter from LP to Mr. Yoshida October 3, 1952] [Filed under LP Correspondence: Box #462, Folder #8]
