At the time of his lecture, Dr. Chris Hables Gray was Professor at The Union Institute and University, and lecturer at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He earned a B.A. from Stanford University in 1975 and a Ph.D. in the history of consciousness from the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research interests include postmodern politics, information theory, computer-assisted learning and the political, artistic and ethical implications of cyborgs.
