- Letter from LP to Gene Marine, RE: LP is pleased to see the article by Ralph Friedman. LP decided to write the Appeal after giving an address at Graham Memorial Chapel of Washington University. There was such a response from faculty and students who wanted some sort of statement to sign so LP decided to write the Appeal. Most of the secretarial work for the Appeal was done by unpaid volunteers, however when LP decided to get signatures from abroad he hired a part time secretary. LP is enclosing a letter that he sent to the Editor of the Sacramento Union. LP describes inaccurate points made in an article from the Sacramento Union.
