  • Letter from LP to Mr. Stanley Schaefer, W. H. Freeman and Company, RE: Says that he has gone over the manuscript by Overman and Clark on radioisotopes in the laboratory. Believes that it is very good and thinks they should make an effort to get a contract with the authors. Tells Schaefer that he doesn't think the authors use commas in the right way and gives an example of this. Says that he has noted on page II-9 an example of an ambiguous pronoun and says that he has noticed several places where an improvement in the English could be made. Adds a postscript saying that he has talked with Harrison Brown about Drs. Overman and Clark and that Harrison does not know Clark, but that he thinks Overman is a good second-rater yet can be relied upon. Tells Schaefer that he judges it is alright to go ahead.
