Letter from Linus Pauling to Mansoor ul Hassan. October 23, 1953Pauling writes that he was glad to receive Mr. Hassan's letter in which he suggests an experiment to demonstrate the coiling of polypeptide chains to form antibodies in vitro. Pauling notes that his lab actually carried out experiments similar to Hassan's proposed research over ten years ago. He sends reprints of their 1940 antibody paper and publications on the manufacture of specific gels. View Transcript
