The collection contains record of much of Harris' scholarly output in the form of research notebooks, speeches and publications. Personal items including collections of photographs and scrapbooks are also included. These materials chronicle Harris' work in textiles and fibers, his relationship with the Gillette Company and his lengthy affiliation with the American Chemical Society.
