- Letter from Professor Syuzo Seki, Chemistry Dept., Osaka University, to LP RE: Pleased to have met LP in Kyoto on LP's birthday, traveled with LP to Nara, and seen LP off at the station. Enjoyed LP's lectures. Impressed by LP's wide range of knowledge. At LP's suggestion, now translating the second edition of LP's General Chemistry. Received encouraging letter from Professor J.G. Aston regarding the possibility of Seki studying at Pennsylvania State University. Requests that LP advise him on which laboratories to visit in the U.S. Under separate cover, sends photos taken at Osaka and Nara of LP and AHP.
