"Statement of March 28, 1951" [re: University of Hawaii controversy]. March 28, 1951Pauling writes that the Regents of the University of Hawaii never told him what charges they had made against him or that they were withdrawing their invitation to dedicate a chemistry building on their campus. He adds that he is very surprised that they would not even tell him and give him a chance to defend himself and that he will not make a detailed statement about the manner until he received a letter from the Regents withdrawing their invitation.Associated: University of Hawaii at Manoa ID: 1951a.3 |
