Friday noon
Dearest love:
We all send our love to you. Be of good cheer, and do not let your spirits sink. Be happy, sweetheart, and come back soon to us.
Your letter to Crellin came, and I am hoping that we shall soon hear of your safe arrival, and of your plans to come back soon.
We have got along well. The children are fine, except that Liny is in bed today with some sort of ailment. He has normal temperature, but says that he feels weak- I think that he is getting better, but I told him to stay in bed (although the NDRC Ch 13 people now want the plates!)
A letter came from Pat for you- I read it, to see if it needed to be forwarded. I trust that you will keep cool about the Clay money matter; I'm sure that Clay will pay the money to the estate and render an accounting- what else would his conscience (to say nothing of his siblings) let him do?
Although we are not suffering, and Sadie takes care of us, we are all lonesome for you, and we send you loads of kisses.
I shall go down and take Linda to her music lesson this afternoon. I must go now, in fact, in order to take Lt. Cooley to see the Admiral.
Crelly is working on a letter to you, which will be sent later. He made a very realistic drawing of you and the Pullman car.
All the love in the world from
Paddy
