Letter from Linus Pauling to W.A. Noyes. May 31, 1938Pauling discusses the high cost of A.C.S. Monographs, suggesting that a few manuscripts of high interest be reprinted at a lower cost allowing for larger sales. To aid in this process, he suggests that the Editorial Board give each manuscript a rating which will determine the possibility of reprinting for a larger audience. Pauling agrees that the Monographs must remain of high quality, but to be competitive, the cost must be lowered. View TranscriptAssociated: J. Kent Clark ID: corr279.4-lp-noyes-19380531 |
