Letter from Linus Pauling to A.R. Goldfarb. December 31, 1930Pauling discusses the possibility of Goldfarb visiting Caltech as a research assistant for the 1931-1932 school year. He explains the lack of available positions, space, and equipment at Caltech and the difficulty of Goldfarb obtaining his doctorate in a short period of time. As a result, he recommends that Goldfarb finish his doctorate at Chicago and come to Pasadena later as a research fellow. View Transcript
