- Letter from Walter Gormly to LP RE: Requests evidence about a statement LP made that primitive man drank water from springs rich in mineral content (in this case with a fluoride level of one ppm, which is the level of fluoride in the New York drinking water). States that F.A. Arnold Jr., Director of the National Institute of Dental Research, U.S. Public Health Service has sent him a letter that no data pertaining to the safety of fluoride has been published.
