    The Editor

    The Minority of One

    Dear Sir:

The article by my wife and me on the Oxford Conference of Peace Groups constitutes the answer to most of Dr. Jack's letter.

Dr. Jack denies having made the statement that we quoted about the Presidents of the European Federation. There were 15 people present when he made this statement, and I have no doubt that they remember the statement and the indignation with which I reacted to it. I was so surprised by the statement that I immediately wrote it down.

It is not true that my wife and I at the September 1961 meeting in London resisted the formation of a second international peace organization. However, we opposed some of the restrictive criteria for membership that were advocated by Dr. Jack.
