  • Letter from Norman Cousins to LP, RE: Cousins was saddened to see LP’s letter sent to the national sponsors of the National Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy in which LP accused the Executive Committee of McCarthyism.  Cousins points out that it took Sane almost a year to recover from the Senate investigation and to start moving on effectively.  Cousins is at a loss to understand why LP would launch a belated attack on the leadership of Sane by suggesting that they are McCarthyite.
