  • Letter from LP to Professor and Mrs. Barclay Kamb, RE: They were glad to receive the postcard from Devos and are happy to learn that things are going well.  They have spent about 16 days at the ranch during the past month, and LP is at work on the third edition of College Chemistry, which will be done this summer.  On Monday LP and AHP will be speaking at a Hiroshima Day rally in LA sponsored by the Los Angeles Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy.  They are trying to decide if they can offer Ralph Haskin a full-time job.  Even with the larger herd, it may not be enough to cover his salary.  They will probably build a simple house for the Haskins, and are planning to move ahead with plans for the ranch.  He and AHP have not decided whether they are going to London for the Peace Conference, and would like to know if Linda will be in Geneva for the middle of September.  [Filed under LP Biographical: Personal and Family: Linda Helen Pauling Kamb, 1940-1994), 1960-1969]
