  • Letter from Al [illegible] to LP RE: Thanks LP for his note and mentions that he is on page 116 of No More War! and likes it a lot so far. Thought that LP might be interested in something he enclosed. [Filed under LP Books: 1958b3.1]
  • Letter from Hugh C. Bone, Political Science Dept., University of Washington, to Alice Franklin Bryant RE: As moderator on the public affairs TV show "What People Think," Bone has been wanting to have the question of nuclear test bans discussed. Has heard that LP will be in town for a few days to deliver his campus address on July 31. Anxious to have him appear on August 2. Wonders if Bryant can look into this immediately, as the program for the August show must be lined up this week before Bone leaves town. Bone will wait until hearing from LP to pick the other three people for the panel. [Filed under LP Speeches: 1958s.27]
  • Letter from LP to Professor R.S. Nyholm, University College, RE: LP's participation in the conference on complexes in Ireland [Filed under LP Travel: Box #1.002, Folder 2.4]
  • Letter from Sue Davidson Gottfried to LP RE: Has been handling the publicity for LP's forthcoming visit to Washington. The Puget Sound Peace Council was formed some months ago, but has not yet attracted any leadership essential to effective functioning. Confident that there are many people in the area who are sympathetic to the group's goals, but needs to engage the attention and talents of those people by bringing in someone like LP. If Gottfried rounded up some of these key community figures, wonders if LP would be willing to meet with them, perhaps at a luncheon. If LP consents, Gottfried will contact Alice Franklin Bryant to make the specific arrangements around LP's schedule. [Filed under LP Speeches: 1958s.27]
  • Newspaper Clipping: "Atomic Fallout—and your children," Los Angeles Examiner, July 13, 1958. [Filed under LP Newspaper Clippings: 1958n.63]
