    13 June 1958

    Dear Peter:

Enclosed is a check for the coming months.

I think that we might as well decide to go to the conference in Ireland. I had thought that I would not attend, but now it seems to me that it would be worth while to do so. Could you check up on transportation? Perhaps the easiest thing would be for us all to fly over to Dublin, and back. However, Mama and I want to visit Bertrand [handwritten note: "Russell"] in his home in Penrhyndeudraeth, Merioneth, North Wales. I am not sure just where this is - perhaps it is on the way to Dublin, and we could stop for a day to see him.

I have been too busy to do anything about the paper on ice. Perhaps I can get something done on it this summer.

I don't know whether I have told you about Linda's little boys, Barclay James and Carl Alexander. They weighed 6 pounds and 8 pounds, respectively. Barclay left today for New Mexico - he is in charge of the field trip in geology. Crellin and his wife and little girl got home yesterday. He is working for Dan Campbell this summer. Little Cheryl, 11 months old now, looks fine.

    Much love from

    Linus Pauling
