Letter from Linus Pauling to Peter Pauling. May 20, 1954Pauling writes to express his hope that Peter will proceed with his ideas about insulin. He also discusses his and Ava Helen's recent trip to Deep Springs, his forthcoming commencement address at Reed College, and his plans to travel to Toronto from Portland. Pauling notes that he received a report from Cambridge and he hopes that Peter is in accordance with all the rules for research students there. He discusses research on the structure of silk and adds that he would like Peter to get him a copy of Lipson and Cochran's "The Determination of Crystal Structures." View Transcript
