  • Letter from LP to Dr. Richard Lippman RE: LP introduces himself by writing that he has been under Dr. Lippman's care since the death of Dr. Addis. Informs Dr. Lippman that when he was fired for political reasons, LP prepared and gave a statement in his defense. LP also had previously agreed to take part in a meeting of patients of dismissed doctors. However, due to the political propaganda on the flyers and the repeated use of Caltech's name in conjunction with this effort contrary to his desires, LP is disallowing the use of his name in connection with the Committee on Medical Freedom.   • Letter from LP to Editor of the Los Angeles Times, RE: LP issued a protesting statement after learning that, for political reasons, Dr. Thomas Addis and two other physicians were dismissed from the staff of the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. LP also decided to participate in a public meeting on this matter but after the notice for the meeting was written in a form that LP disapproved of, he withdrew from participating.
