- Letter from Dr. George G. Wright to LP RE: Encloses a manuscript of a paper on denaturation for LP's consideration before submitting it for publication, asks for any advice or comments, explains that Prof. Lamb has accepted the previous paper for publication in the JACS, and as he wants to order 400 reprints with covers, wants to know if he can charge it all to the Institute. Explains he is presently considering a position as chief of the Immunology branch at Camp Detrick, describes the job and says the only problem is housing. - Letter from LP to Kasimir Fajans, Department of Chemistry, University of Michigan, RE: Responds that the change on page 71 of The Nature of the Chemical Bond from the first to the second edition is due to an error in arithmetic in the first edition. Goes on to again describe his calculations for the OH bond. Notes that it is important to attack chemical problems from various standpoints, and that he does mention Fajans' theories when teaching.
