Letter from Linus Pauling to Ralph Spitzer. January 10, 1946Pauling writes that he sent a letter of recommendation to Dr. Burg at the University of Southern California on Spitzer's behalf. He feels that U.S.C.'s chemistry department is of a strong standing and he possesses of high opinion of Dr. Burg. While he is unaware of other open positions in the western U.S., Pauling can suggest a number of positions in the east, including the University of Rochester. View Transcript
