Film Festival: A Peek into the VHS Vault. Watch recently transferred film footage that hasn’t seen the light of day since the last century! In observance of Oregon Archives Month, the OSU Special Collections and Archives Research Center will unpack some tapes from the VHS vault and share glimpses of campus history. |

The Limited Test Ban Treaty at 50: Perspectives on Impact. (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM) Browse a special collection of primary sources on the Limited Test Ban Treaty (LTBT) from the collections of the Special Collections & Archives Research Center, fold origami peace cranes, and tour our new exhibit titled Activism in Action! Voices from the Collections. |

(5:00 PM - 6:00 PM) Come hear a round table discussion of the history of the Limited Test Ban Treaty and explore its impact from social, military, and environmental perspectives. Participants will include Tim Naftali, National Security Fellow at the New America Foundation and former Director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, as well as three leading scholars in the field, all from the OSU School of History, Philosophy and Religion: Jacob Darwin Hamblin, Christopher McKnight Nichols and Joseph Orosco. |

SCARC Homecoming Open House and Beaver Sports History Films. Come take a trip back in time as we watch Beaver sports footage featuring Terry Baker, the 1942 Rose Bowl game, and other legends from the past! If you're a fan of the Beavers this will surely be an event that you do not want to miss. The event will run in conjunction with the SCARC open house, where visitors can learn much more about university history, both on the field and off. |
