These two atlases are for U.S Fish and Wildlife Service Region 1 and cover California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Each atlas consists of 10 maps, with one map for Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington and 2-3 maps for each of the other states. The maps are at a scale of 1:750,000.

Series 2: National Wetlands Inventory Maps, 1990 Add to Shelf
Series II consists of drafts of wetlands inventory maps prepared by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Biological Services. The maps depict the area from the central Willamette Valley near Corvallis and Albany, Oregon, west to the Newport area of the Oregon coast. Most of the base maps are 1:24,000 U.S. Geological Survey topographic quadrangles. Several of the sheets have a 1:62,500 base map (Alsea, Marys Peak, Monroe, Tidewater, and Yaquina). A few of the sheets are undated, but were prepared during the same time-frame as other sheets in the series. The maps provide information on the type and extent of coastal and inland wetlands following the Cowardin Classification System developed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1979. The maps depict marine, estuarine, riverine, lacustrine, and palustrine wetlands based primarily on analysis of high-altitude aerial photographs. The maps are blueline prints and include two overlays.
