Dear Petie
I am sitting in the dentist’s office in Los Angeles waiting for the daddy to get his teeth repaired and I shall try to get some writing done.
We have not heard from you for some months but hope that you are all well and that you have had a good summer.
We are still not in our new house. It drags on interminably but we think we see the end of all the construction approaching.
We must go off next week for some lectures in Toronto and Buffalo. And then in October to the Academy (National) meeting in Seattle and on to Vancouver B.C. More lectures. However, the plan to have Thanksgiving dinner in the new house. We don’t know about Christmas but we’ll see…
Have you news on what is going on in the United States? It’s shocking and frightening – but people still talk of our becoming a fascist state..
Freda Lyppman mentioned the matter of Richard Lyppman has been in Paris this summer and will return to New York via London. I gave her your address. She probably won’t find time but you’ll remember her I hope. You remember Dick was the Daddy’s doctor after Addis died and also worked with him. He was a fine doctor and we still miss him.
Much love,
Mama
Crellin and family spent this week at the ranch. Linda and Family up first part of August. They are fine. The new baby Linus Peter Kamb is absolutely adorable. AHP We’ll go over to Pasadena this p.m. and see Linda and get some more of our things.
