    I was happy to receive your letter, and very pleased to learn about your having accepted an appointment for a year as Consultant in the planning of the Pacific Biomedical Research Center.

    I am just setting off on a trip to Europe, and am too busy to write at length. You no doubt know about the work on mental deficiency that we initiated. Have you talked with Professor Yasunobu?

    Also, you might find it worth while to talk to my son, Linus Pauling, Jr.
