Dearest Love: Just think - only two more nights until I start home to my darling! I don't know yet what time Tuesday night I'll get home.
I love my little sweetheart.
Yesterday morning I got up early and got on the C&D plane, reaching here about 11 AM & taking part in the meeting. I am going to speak tomorrow afternoon, with Kuzin, one of the Russians. I've been working hard on my MS. Both Oliphant & Edsall have read it, and say that it is just right. I hope that you will have many helpful suggestions. I love you. Your Paddy

Monday morning
Dear little love:
I hope that you are enjoying your flight and that your room in Bailey Hall turns out to be comfortable.
I am lonesome already.
I popped right back to the Freeway. It got crowded at about 20th St, so I went off, got gasoline, drove along Hoover to near Sunset, & got on the Pasadena Freeway, & home at 8. Jack was asleep. I made coffee, bacon & eggs, & toast. At 9 I came to the lab. Mr. Chavez had not yet come.
I've written a letter to Kenndy about bomb tests & about the Oslo Statement.
Tomorrow afternoon I'll go to Fresno, & come back the next day. Thursday is Phil Sturgeon's party for the Itano's. Saturday my little sweetheart comes home.
Love from
Paddy
