Letter from Linus Pauling to Jean Sanford. January 26, 1951

Pauling writes that he is disappointed with an ad made by W. H. Freeman and Co. for Linus Pauling's "College Chemistry" that compares a picture of nuclear fission with the way that the textbook has "hit" American colleges. He feels that the comparison to nuclear fission may lead to disputes between faculty over whether or not to use the book.  View Transcript
