Dr. G. E. Burch
Department of Medicine
The Tulane University of Louisiana
New Orleans 13, Louisiana
Dear Dr. Burch:
I am writing to thank you for your kindness to me during my visit to New Orleans. I enjoyed every minute of the day, and I look forward to coming to see you again sometime.
My trip to Tampa and New York went along well. In New York I saw Alfred and Reba Mirsky, and told them about my visit with you. However, I have been grieved to learn on arriving home that Tom Addis died the night of June 4. I have not seen Dr. Lippman to find out what was the cause of death, but it had become clearer and clearer that if he had recovered he would have been greatly handicapped in his activities.
Sincerely yours,
Linus Pauling:W
