Dear Pauling,
About Easter I am visiting the States for a few months to discuss X-ray and biological problems with people. I should like to call to see you, if I may, so that we may have a talk about things in which we are mutually interested, and I should like to ask your help, too, in making contact with other people in your part whom you might think it good for me to see.
I am trying to make as many preliminary arrangements as possible before leaving England, and it would be very useful if you would not mind letting me know at your earliest convenience over what dates during the months of April, May and June you are likely to be available.
