Leone S. Johnson Papers, 1911-1964

This collection consists of correspondence and pages from a dissembled scrapbook compiled by alumna and Memorial Union Program Consultant Leone Sands Johnson.

The majority of the correspondence was written by Johnson's aunts Bess Coppes MacKay and Ida Leiter; most pertains to Ida’s illness, death, and the settling of her will.

Comprised of photographs, newspaper clippings, and greeting cards, the scrapbook pages also include a Christmas poem received from friends and a graduation announcement. The images depict Johnson at home with her husband, attending social events, and examining an exhibit of locally collected artifacts at a show in the Memorial Union. Other people featured in the photographs include Norma Pritchett, Mrs. Tommy Prothro, Mrs. Austin Walter, and students Charlie Dunn and Jan Anderson.
